Tomorrow bets on Milan – MF FASHION

Tomorrow returns to invest in Milan with a new headquarters at via Cadore, 2.
The group co-founded by Stefano Martinetto and Giancarlo Simiri, who in recent years had focused its functions on London, has found a new home in the city, riding the positive momentum of the metropolis, and bringing to it a breath of international energy. The space of 2,000 square meters will be in addition to the 1,700 square meters at Garage Ventuno, a location shared with the N°21 brand of Alessandro Dell’Acqua, where Tomorrow Milano was based until recently.
“Tomorrow London Holdings has its headquarters in London, and over the last ten years has had almost all of its main functions there, relying on a series of regional subsidiaries that act as both area management and local customer service,” Martinetto, CEO of the company, explained to MFF. “In London, we will maintain our office of 1,000 square meters, and continue to employ 140 people, divided between about eighty in the headquarters and the rest in the designer studios of the brands we have invested in, including A-Cold-Wall*, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Colville and Martine Rose. However, Brexit has led us to a return to Europe, particularly Milan, as a tribute to our Italian origins.”
The location, already operational for sales campaigns but not yet officially inaugurated with a launch event, hosts a series of features with a floor dedicated to the offices for functions including the Italian administration, international customer service, global team (excluding China, US and UK), product development for some design studios, marketing, photographic studios and menswear showroom, while the womenswear collections will remain at via Archimede, 26 – Garage Ventuno.
“In total, we will have 2,700 square meters of showrooms throughout Milan and 1,000 square meters of office space,” Martinetto continued. “We moved the logistics in the first phase, bringing it back to Italy. Then, gradually, came the other functions with a rebalancing of the workforce between the UK and Italy.” This move is not simply a return home, however: “Tomorrow Milano srl has always been here, it has simply changed its functions over the years. At first, 12/13 years ago, it was our product distribution business. From 2015/16, the distribution had transferred to London, but this now returns to Italy.”
