Nensi Dojaka Thinks Bigger—and Beiger—With a New Capsule Collection for 24S – VOGUE

Heads turned when Maggie Maurer walked out at Nensi Dojaka’s fall 2022 runway show, pregnant and radiant in a holographic, clear sequin dress. “I really wanted to make it a bit more—not just so young and street, but maybe a bit more elegant,” Dojaka says of her most recent collection, shown earlier this year in London, “and a bit more for different ages. Not just little minidresses.”
That idea informs the designer’s first capsule collection for 24S, the e-commerce retailer owned by LVMH. Dojaka, who won the Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) Prize in 2021, was a natural fit for the e-tailer, with her groundswell of celebrity support and expansion into categories. “I’m very happy that we didn’t just do all black,” she laughs, “which we have become kind of known for.”
Instead, Dojaka works through shades of ivory, beige, and caramel in a collection that expands her oeuvre into blouses, shorts, and trousers. “I really wanted to experiment with a neutral palette for a long time; I think it makes the clothes much lighter. Maybe they feel a bit more delicate even,” she says. “The capsule is about experimenting with color, with length, and also giving people new ideas based on our spring 2022 collection. It was about taking those key moments and making them a bit more accessible in a way. I think it’s a great addition and it makes the styling a bit more complete.”
