It’s widely accepted that wearing the band tee of an artist whose gig you’re at is a bit of a faux-pas. While this might be true in most music circles, the fashion world is an altogether different story. For fashion addicts, clothing is all about pledging your allegiance to a specific subcultural set, and what better way to do that than wearing a head-to-toe full look at your favourite designer’s show? At London Fashion Week, the attendees of Charles Jeffrey’s 10th anniversary celebrations certainly got the memo. Photographer Yu Fujiwara snapped them all while waiting patiently outside London’s Somerset House, and it really didn’t take him long to spot the LOVERBOY stans.
At a pared back London Fashion Week the city looked to Charles Jeffrey for a standout moment, and his legions of fans came out in force to give us one.

As guests continued to line up outside Greggs waiting for the show, the last decade of Jeffrey’s creative vision was splashed across The Strand for all to see. Those famous chunky eared beanies – a well-worn staple of the creative, artsy scene – of course made several appearances, their ubiquity a signifier of Jeffrey’s success in creating sellable mass products as well as avant garde showstoppers.
