System AW26 Brings Individuality Centre Stage
Wed 28 Jan
System unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, Nowhere Neat, at Paris’s Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. Against classical columns and metallic installations, the runway felt alive with controlled disorder. The shuffle of models echoed through the hall, while muted neutrals were punctuated by flashes of red and blue. Designer Heesoo Kim described the intent simply: “I wanted to capture the beauty of not quite fitting in.”
The collection balances precision and freedom. Sharp tailoring gives way to tactile, lived-in textures. Washed velvet, suede, corduroy, soft jersey, and leather layer together. Plaid flannels and moto-inspired jackets intersect with streetwear spontaneity. Bold-coloured accessories punctuate the palette, each seam and fold reflecting intentional imperfection.
By the finale, Nowhere Neat is both statement and reflection. Individuality takes centre stage through texture, imbalance, and intent. System reminds us that beauty does not lie in fitting in; it lives in standing unapologetically in your own space.
