Ottolinger’s SS26 «Girlfriend» Celebrates Feminine Power
Wed 8 Oct
Ottolinger’s Spring Summer 2026 collection, titled «Girlfriend,» unfolded at Paris Fashion Week as an affectionate yet edgy celebration of female friendship. The duo Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient translated the realities of relational bonds into sartorial motifs: reimagined wedding dresses stripped of convention, hand-dyed silks, straps and mesh, asymmetric ruffles, and deconstructed tailoring.
Collaboration and sustainability anchored the narrative through a Tinder “Re/Pair” capsule of tethered T-shirts and necklaces, alongside reworked garments created through eBay’s Endless Runway initiative in support of LGBTQ+ youth via Lambda.
At its core, «Girlfriend» was a celebration of solidarity, resilience, and the grace of collaboration; a collection that ultimately celebrates feminine power.
Backstage, Bösch left a poignant note on the seat cards: “My friend, my partner in crime, and my Otto … I couldn’t imagine doing this without you.” It framed the show beyond aesthetics, as a love letter to partnership and the quiet strength that sustains it. At its core, «Girlfriend» was a celebration of solidarity, resilience, and the grace of collaboration; a collection that ultimately celebrates feminine power.
