Hed Mayner’s Sculptural Vision at Pitti Uomo 109

Fri 9 Jan

As Pitti Uomo 109 approaches, we turn our attention to Hed Mayner, a Paris-based designer whose sophisticated vision has reshaped contemporary fashion through precision, volume, and quiet strength.

From an early immersion in art, materials, and making, Mayner cultivated a passion for construction and tailoring. His studies at the Institut Français de la Mode refined a personal vision that blends sartorial precision, formal freedom, and authenticity.

His eponymous label explores generous volumes, fluid fabrics, and impeccable construction, balancing strength with softness, structure with movement. Drawing from the sacred and traditional, everyday dress, military tailoring, and sportswear, his work creates an essential, timeless wardrobe where fit, proportion, and freedom of movement are central.

A fixture on Paris Fashion Week and recipient of the 2019 LVMH Karl Lagerfeld Prize, Mayner produces his collections in Italy, which are distributed worldwide and featured in prestigious publications including Vogue, Numéro, and The New York Times.

This January, his vision arrives in Florence for a Guest Designer show at Pitti Uomo 109, marking a new chapter in the sculptural exploration of modern elegance and individuality.

Responding to Pitti Uomo’s invitation, Hed Mayner said: “I would like to thank Pitti Uomo for their invitation to present my new collection in January. It is a great honor to be a part of Pitti, which represents a genuine support for creativity, and I am so excited to be able to show my work in such an amazingly rich and historical city like Florence. This new context will encourage me to try new things.”

The Hed Mayner Guest Designer show at Pitti Uomo 109 will take place on 14 January 2026, 18:00, at Palazzina Reale di Santa Maria Novella, Firenze.
