French accessories and ready-to-wear brand Destree has come out guns blazing with plans to expand globally after luring the backing of an all-star cast of female celebrities.

The brand, founded by creative director Geraldine Guyot, 30, (also the wife of Alexandre Arnault), and Laetitia Lumbroso, 46, CEO and former Christian Dior couture executive, in 2016, announced this week it raised a Series A funding. This round was led by Sequoia Capital China venture partner and former Vogue China editor in chief Angelica Cheung alongside Jessica Alba, Beyoncé, Gisele Bündchen, Rihanna, Reese Witherspoon, Gabriela Hearst, Emily Weiss, Carmen Busquets who famously invested early in Net-a-Porter, and G9 Ventures founding partner Amy Griffin.

It was among the buzziest line-up of investors seen in fashion in a long time. So, who is Destree and how have they lured such a high-profile group?
