Parisian menswear brand Bluemarble has launched a new out-of-this-world shoe for fall – the Odyssey Boot.
First spotted on the brand’s fall 2024 runway show during Paris Fashion Week Men’s in January, the new boot style is an engineering feat. Taking cues from the design of moon boots, the Odyssey Boot aims to redefine explorer footwear with a unique detachable upper that’s adorned with hiking-inspired trim. This removable feature, the brand noted, allows the wearer to transform the boot into a slipper, for the ultimate two-in-one shoe.
“Inspired by the spirit of Apollo 11, the boot reflects humanity’s drive towards space."
Anthony Alvarez, founder and creative director of Bluemarble
Anthony Alvarez, founder and creative director of Bluemarble told FN that the new boots are the result of wanting to create a shoe that “transcend the bounds of Earth.” “Inspired by the spirit of Apollo 11, the boot reflects humanity’s drive towards space as is an invitation to exploring the boundless possibilities of our collective journey into the unknown,” Alvarez said. “It’s a unique crossover between a funky slip-on and a hiking boot. We wanted to create a shoe that pairs innovation with comfort, giving adventurers a versatile base for any terrain, whether here on Earth or among the stars.”
