Bella Hadid’s Dress Was Spray-Painted Directly Onto Her Body for the Coperni Spring 2023 Show – TEEN VOGUE

This is absolutely incredible.

As one of the world’s biggest super models, Bella Hadid has taken to the runway in plenty of memorable ‘fits. Many of her stylish looks are already cemented in fashion history, but Bella’s closing moment at Friday’s Coperni’s spring 2023 show might be one of her most incredible runway appearances yet.

For the show’s finale, Bella had a dress spray-painted directly onto her body. Yes, it’s true, and it’s amazing. Initially appearing in just her underwear, Bella stood still while a group of people applied spray-on fabric, created by Dr Manel Torres, managing director of Fabrican Ltd, Vogue reported.

The fabric paint created the appearance of a slip dress. Once the painting was finished, another person worked to cut and style the dress. For the styling, the dress straps were pulled off the shoulders and a large leg-slit was added. Per Vogue, the artist/stylist used their hands and scissors to finalize the ‘fit.

Speaking with British Vogue, Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, the pair behind Coperni, explained their intentions with the finale. “We wanted to dedicate this moment to Dr Torres, because we respect what he does so much,” Vaillant said. “We felt that it was absolutely necessary that he led the performance – to us, that makes the experience even more magical.”

The duo also expressed appreciation for Bella in an Instagram post, writing, “Thank you for your trust, love and the most mind blowing performance. We are so proud of what we create all together. None of this would have been possible without Manel Torres and his talent. When fashion meets technology.”
